The generously proportioned bowl features an elegant scalloped shell-shaped rim enriched with finely carved zoomorphic handles inspired by dolphins, while the pedestal is decorated with scrolling acanthus leaves, creating a refined composition strongly influenced by the Italian Renaissance decorative repertoire
The naturally veined alabaster, displaying warm ivory, honey and grey tones, gives the piece remarkable depth and luminosity. Every example is unique thanks to the natural character of the stone
